The Super-Fit Shanks go on in back of the knuckle. They close with an audible click. To determine the customer's finger size, utilize a plastic set of ring sizers. When cut open, they will spread to pass over the knuckle and return to actual size. The Super-Fit shanks must be ordered in the size you want them to close down to. That way when the ring is snapped shut it will be round and the locking mechanism will be correctly aligned. To open, hidden tongue is pushed down by pressing tip of a ballpoint pen into dimple. There is no protruding latch on the shank to catch on anything. Of all the adjustable shanks on the market this one gets the New York Findings seal of approval. Super-Fit Shanks have no exposed levers to catch on anything. They are made with modern metal mold technology. There is no porosity. When closed the ring is completely solid. There is no hollow space inside to dent and crush.
